Matchbox Goes to the Movies—and Apparently Nobody Believes in a Quiet Drive
Matchbox is headed to the big screen, and naturally there’s a helicopter chase involved. Inspired by the upcoming Matchbox The Movie, the Mountain Helicopter Escape Playset brings some serious action-movie chaos to the toy room with a towering 22-inch-tall mountain, two included 1:64 scale die-cast Matchbox vehicles, and one very persistent helicopter. Load the cars onto the mountain and pull the handle partway to send the helicopter swirling down in pursuit. Pull the handle all the way and the cars are released, beginning a race to the bottom while trying to avoid the helicopter—and, perhaps more importantly, not drive straight off a cliff. Apparently taking the scenic route was never an option.
Will both cars make it safely to the bottom? Will the helicopter catch them? Will the good guy escape the bad guy and save the day? That’s entirely up to the driver—and we suspect the first attempt will immediately be followed by, “Okay, do it again!” Packed with possibilities for creating your own movie-worthy chases, crashes, escapes, and last-second saves, the Matchbox The Movie Mountain Helicopter Escape Playset turns a couple of little die-cast cars into the stars of their own action adventure.
