The race car is nearly ready. I’ve checked the brakes, adjusted the seat, inspected the tires, and installed the speed limiter!” THE EMPEROR: “EXCELLENT! BUT I HAVE ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION!” THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “What’s that?” THE EMPEROR: “WHERE IS THE TUNA DISPENSER?!” 😂😂 THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “Your Majesty, this is a race car, not a mobile restaurant!” THE EMPEROR: “A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW! WE MUST CORRECT IT IMMEDIATELY!” The Dogfather enters the garage wearing his sunglasses and carrying a clipboard. THE DOGFATHER: “Good morning, gentlemen! I’ve reviewed the weekend racing schedule!” THE EMPEROR: “EXCELLENT! HOW MANY LAPS HAVE YOU SCHEDULED FOR YOUR EMPEROR?!” THE DOGFATHER: “Three.” THE EMPEROR: “THREE?! THAT’S BARELY ENOUGH TIME TO WARM UP MY ENGINE!” THE DOGFATHER: “Her Majesty’s orders.” THE EMPEROR: “AH. THREE LAPS IT IS!” 😂😂 The Muscle Mechanic looks at the Dogfather’s clipboard. “What’s that other document?” THE DOGFATHER: “Oh, just the latest Maulsworld T-shirt promotion. DOGFATHER, YOU ARE MY MOST LOYAL ADVISER!” THE DOGFATHER: “Naturally, Your Majesty.” THE EMPEROR: “YOU WOULD NEVER BETRAY YOUR EMPEROR!” THE DOGFATHER: “Of course not.” THE EMPEROR: “YOU WOULD NEVER REVEAL MY SECRET PLANS!” THE DOGFATHER: “Certainly not without a very good reason.” The Muscle Mechanic raises an eyebrow. “A very good reason?” THE DOGFATHER: “Such as maintaining a productive relationship with Her Majesty.” 😂😂 The Emperor considers this for a moment. “AH! DIPLOMACY! VERY WISE!” Just then, Queen Cat Mom appears in the doorway wearing her jeweled crown and heart-shaped sunglasses. QUEEN CAT MOM: “Good morning, gentlemen! How are the racing preparations coming along?” THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “Very well, Your Majesty! Everything is ready for three safe, supervised laps.” THE DOGFATHER: “And I’ve arranged to ride along and make sure His Chonkiness behaves himself.” THE EMPEROR: “I ALWAYS BEHAVE MYSELF!” A long silence follows. The Muscle Mechanic looks at the Dogfather. The Dogfather looks at the Queen. The Queen slowly lowers her sunglasses. QUEEN CAT MOM: “Darling…” THE EMPEROR: “MOST OF THE TIME!” 😂😂 The Queen notices the new Dog Dad T-shirt design. “Oh, what a lovely Collie! And I especially like the message. Loyalty First!” THE DOGFATHER: “An excellent philosophy, Your Majesty.” QUEEN CAT MOM: “Indeed. And loyalty also means knowing when to look out for someone, even when they don’t realize they need looking after.” The Dogfather smiles knowingly. THE DOGFATHER: “Couldn’t agree more.” THE EMPEROR: “EXACTLY! WHICH IS WHY MY LOYAL DOGFATHER WILL ENSURE THAT I RECEIVE PROPER REFRESHMENTS BETWEEN LAPS!” QUEEN CAT MOM: “Actually, darling, the Dogfather has already arranged everything.” THE EMPEROR: “HE HAS?!” THE DOGFATHER: “Absolutely! Three laps, a safety inspection, and a nice comfortable chair afterward.” THE EMPEROR: “AND THE TUNA?!” THE DOGFATHER: “One small snack after you’ve finished.” THE EMPEROR: “ONE?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EMERGENCY RESERVE?!” THE DOGFATHER: “Headquarters reviewed the request.” THE EMPEROR: “HEADQUARTERS AGAIN?! HOW DOES HEADQUARTERS KEEP FINDING OUT?!” 😂😂 Queen Cat Mom adjusts her crown. “Darling, perhaps you should concentrate on enjoying your race.” THE EMPEROR: “VERY WELL! You’re just taking three demonstration laps.” THE EMPEROR: “THEN I SHALL BE THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION OF THE DEMONSTRATION!” 😂😂 The Dogfather quietly turns toward the Queen. THE DOGFATHER: “Everything is proceeding according to plan, Your Majesty.” QUEEN CAT MOM: “Excellent work, Dogfather.” The Emperor looks suspiciously between them. “WAIT A MINUTE! WHOSE PLAN?!” THE DOGFATHER: “Why, yours, of course!” THE EMPEROR: “AH! EXCELLENT! I KNEW I WAS A BRILLIANT LEADER!” 😂😂 And so another Wednesday rolls along at the Maulsworld Royal Garage & Castle! The Muscle Mechanic is preparing the race car, the Dogfather is demonstrating that true loyalty sometimes requires a little creative diplomacy, and Queen Cat Mom is quietly making certain that everyone gets exactly what they need.
