Meanwhile, back at the Maulsworld Royal Garage & Castle, the Dogfather is enjoying his newfound reputation as the kingdom’s master negotiator! 🏰🐶 THE DOGFATHER: “Your Majesty, I’ve finalized the weekend racing arrangements, secured the Executive Break Room, and negotiated a very favorable agreement with Her Majesty!” THE EMPEROR: “EXCELLENT! DOGFATHER, YOU ARE MY MOST TRUSTED ADVISER!” THE DOGFATHER: “Naturally, Your Majesty.” THE EMPEROR: “TOGETHER, WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE!” 😂😂 But elsewhere in the castle, Just Maul has been reviewing some rather interesting intelligence reports. JUST MAUL: “Hmm. The Dogfather has become very clever lately. Secret negotiations, confidential meetings, special arrangements with the Queen. Perhaps it’s time to remind him that Headquarters has a few connections of its own.” The Muscle Mechanic looks concerned. THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “What kind of connections?” JUST MAUL: “Oh, I know a guy.” THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “A guy?” JUST MAUL: “Travels light. Wears a hood. Carries a sword. Doesn’t say much.” THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “That sounds rather mysterious!” JUST MAUL: “Exactly. Have Sword. Will Travel.” 😂😂
Later that afternoon, the Captain of the Royal Guard rushes into the throne room. THE CAPTAIN: “YOUR MAJESTY! A STRANGER HAS ARRIVED AT THE CASTLE GATES!” THE EMPEROR: “A STRANGER?! WHAT DOES HE WANT?!” THE CAPTAIN: “HE SAYS HE’S LOOKING FOR THE DOGFATHER!” The Emperor nearly drops his tuna sandwich. “THE DOGFATHER?! WHY WOULD A STRANGER BE LOOKING FOR MY MOST TRUSTED ADVISER?!” THE CAPTAIN: “HE’S WEARING A DARK HOOD AND CARRYING A SWORD!” THE EMPEROR: “A SWORD?! SUMMON THE KNIGHTS! SECURE THE DRAWBRIDGE! PROTECT THE TUNA VAULT!” 😂😂 The Royal Knights assemble in the courtyard. The Viking appears on the balcony, waving his axe. THE VIKING: “FINALLY! A WORTHY CHALLENGER!” THE CAPTAIN: “PUT THAT AXE AWAY! WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY HE’S HERE!” THE VIKING: “YOU PEOPLE NEVER LET ME HAVE ANY FUN!” 😂😂
The Dogfather calmly approaches the mysterious traveler. THE DOGFATHER: “Good afternoon. I understand you’ve been asking for me.” The hooded stranger nods. THE TRAVELER: “I’ve come from Headquarters.” The Dogfather raises an eyebrow. THE DOGFATHER: “Headquarters?” THE TRAVELER: “Just Maul sends his regards.” The Dogfather pauses. “Ah. I see.” The traveler reaches beneath his cloak. The Royal Knights tense. The Emperor ducks behind a barrel. And the Viking prepares to leap from the balcony! Then, very slowly, the traveler produces… A SEALED ENVELOPE! 😂😂 THE TRAVELER: “A message for the Dogfather.” The Dogfather opens it and reads aloud. “Dear Dogfather, Headquarters appreciates your initiative and creativity. However, please remember that all executive negotiations remain subject to final approval. Also, we know about the tuna delivery trucks. Best regards, Just Maul.” A long silence follows.
THE EMPEROR: “THE TUNA TRUCKS?! HOW DOES HEADQUARTERS KNOW ABOUT THE TUNA TRUCKS?!” THE DOGFATHER: “Your Majesty, I believe Headquarters has a very effective intelligence network.” THE EMPEROR: “IMPOSSIBLE! WE HAVE THE QUEEN ON OUR SIDE!” At that moment, Queen Cat Mom appears on her luxurious high-shelf throne, wearing her jeweled crown and heart-shaped sunglasses. QUEEN CAT MOM: “Darling, who do you think arranged the traveler’s appointment?” THE EMPEROR: “YOU?! AGAIN?!” 😂😂 The Dogfather smiles. “Well played, Your Majesty. Very well played.” Queen Cat Mom returns the smile. “Thank you, Dogfather. We do appreciate your loyalty. We simply like to keep everyone informed.” THE DOGFATHER: “Of course. No objections from me.” THE EMPEROR: “BUT WHAT ABOUT THE HOODED STRANGER?! WHAT IS HIS MISSION?!” The traveler finally speaks again. THE TRAVELER: “My mission is complete. I delivered the message.” THE EMPEROR: “THEN YOU MAY LEAVE!” THE TRAVELER: “Actually, I was hoping to visit the Royal Garage. I hear you have some excellent classic cars.” THE MUSCLE MECHANIC: “Now you’re talking! Come on over!” THE VIKING: “AND WHAT ABOUT THE DUEL?!” THE CAPTAIN: “THERE IS NO DUEL!” THE VIKING: “I AM SURROUNDED BY DISAPPOINTMENT!” 😂😂
As the traveler departs for the garage, the Dogfather turns toward the Emperor. THE DOGFATHER: “Your Majesty, I believe we’ve learned something important today.” THE EMPEROR: “YES! NEVER TRUST A MAN IN A HOOD!” THE DOGFATHER: “No. Never underestimate Headquarters.” THE EMPEROR: “AH! VERY WISE! BUT I STILL THINK WE SHOULD INCREASE SECURITY AROUND THE TUNA VAULT!” From her throne, Queen Cat Mom smiles. “Already taken care of, darling.” THE EMPEROR: “…YES, DEAR.” 😂😂 And so another adventure unfolds at Maulsworld Castle! The Royal Knights have survived an unexpected visitor, the Viking has been denied yet another completely unnecessary battle, and the Dogfather has discovered that even the cleverest negotiator occasionally needs a friendly reminder about the chain of command. Meanwhile, the Hooded Traveler is enjoying a tour of the Royal Garage, proving that sometimes the greatest adventure is simply following the road wherever it leads. HAVE SWORD. WILL TRAVEL.
